5An excellent book for everyone (not just managers)!  Jun 11, 2010
This is a book for anyone who wishes to learn practical ways to improve performance in his or her organization (i.e., I would hope everyone!). Brad ties together theory AND practice and gives us insight into why merely hiring, paying, and reviewing employees are not sufficient motivators without touching something deeper in people. Brad is truly a "people advocate" but he is also results-oriented and performance driven. This book is his well written description of how to link the two. I highly recommend Employee Engagement!

5Excellent Book  Jun 01, 2010
Brad has written an excellent book that covers many key strategies to improve employee engagement. The content is easy to read, informative and accurate and includes understanding the reasons why employee engagement is important, constructing employee engagement surveys and getting a pulse of the organization, key elements and parameters that must be considered, powerful insights on how you can increase engagement levels in your organization and what financial benefits are available to those that make this a key focus and priority. He also details how engagement impacts turnover, recruitment and onboarding success, shares several best practice ideas, and defines the role of the leadership team in making it happen.

If you are serious about employee engagement this book will provide some excellent insights and a solid understanding of the effective strategies and actions necessary to an engaged culture of high performance. You will certainly enjoy the read.

5Excellent resource for corporate America and beyond  May 13, 2010
The ideas expressed in this book explode off the page. They are so relevant and meaningful for employees and mangers, especially during these hard economic times, when most employees are made to feel that they should simply be happy to have a job. Employers should read this book and start maximizing their productivity by developing engaged employees. Excellent resource - with practical, real life examples of the "Do's and Don'ts" of employee engagement.

5seriously!! what is employee engagement?  May 07, 2010
Good gracious!!! what is employee engagement??????Depending upon your source of knowledge and reference points, the term "employee engagement" can seem esoteric, over simplified, complex, and unmanageable.............all at the same time (kinda like the "barefoot boy with shoes on stood sitting in a tree"). At least that was my opinion prior to reading this book. Now, however, Federman has positioned himself as the lightning rod for this topic by really landing the "plane" with this book. He uses the science "behind the curtain" in order to help us understand the "art" of building employee engagement. Easy to read, easy to understand graphs, and great real life stories made this an important read for my business.I appreciate the time, effort and energy it took to take this subject and make it meaningful.

5Becoming TOTALLY Engaged  Apr 13, 2010
Brad engages the reader from the beginning with real life examples and anecdotal stories, reminding us that work and life requires us to be engaging with our peers, superiors, family and friends. This is a must read if you want to build trust, loyalty, and engagement of your company's most prized assets. I encourage you follow Brad through his journey and perpective on building employee engagement!
